Hispanic Music Video and the MANDATORY Download of the Week

I'm back. I know all two of my readers have been missing my hourly posts, but fear not I am back for at least today. Sarah and I moved up to Long Beach last weekend and I must say it rocks. Long Beach has everything. It is close to every California beach town that you could possibly ever want to go to. Yesterday we went to Huntington Beach which is a surfer's paradise. So obviously we fit in. They have a main street that is lined with bars and restaurants all leading to the wharf pier and miles upon miles of beautiful sandy beaches. If you are ever in the OC this is the place to be. We also stopped by Newport Beach so that we could steal GOB's Segue and eat frozen bannana's. When we pulled up to Balboa Pier we saw that they were shooting some kind of video production. I became overly excited thinking that it might be a shoot for either the OC or Arrested Development. Much to my dismay I was dead wrong. There were four Latinos lined up in a row and they kept dancing on the pier to some crappy Menudo song. They must not have gotten their dance moves right because they continued to roll take after take of this shit. Needless to say we quickly moved on. This leads us to the MANDATORY Download of the week. Actually it doesn't, but it sounded good.

Coldplay is one of my favorite bands and they released their new album yesterday. I camped out in front of iTunes for weeks waiting for it to become available. Finally I got my wish and I must say I wasn't disappointed. I suggest checking out the full album, but I will leave you with a single song suggestion.

Those boys were called Sons of Menudo. They are all the sons of members of Menudo. I have no sons because I am gay, but I wish them all the best.

Yes I am an ego maniac, but would you listen to my music if it were all about banging Gwyneth Paltrow? I need to stoop to your pathetic level of depression in order for you to relate to me. And buy my stuff.

I have a question though, was The Whatnot a mandatory download or just an informational post? I can only download it if its mandatory.

thanks anon ron, i read 4 words of your shyte article and saw where that was going. try advertising somewhere else. also, find better use of your time than looking for positive posts on the Coldplay CD so you can direct people to your self propaganda. we don't care. and your writing really sucks - which is awful for a "writer", which i am not. tool.

anon ron hater: Who said I wrote that article, stupid??? I'm a reader of that blog, happened across this one, and noticed the mention of Coldplay (a band I am completely unfamiliar with, BTW).

Still think the writing really sucks?
If you have to resort to ad hominem attacks, you obviously don't have a coherent point to argue.

One cool thing I will say about Coldplay is that I don't feel they took advantage of the masses that will buy any dump they take in a jewell case. Its a unique sound to the other stuff they put out...with the exception of speed of sound, which is clocks slowed down and in a lower key. Fix you is a great great tune. If you want the old Coldplay sound check out Blue Merle. They are one of Jay's former recommendations, great band.

Whatnot Rules!!! You guys should come up for Market Square Day and then hang out that night.

Holy Shit! Junk Yard Dog is gonna be at Market Square Day and he invited you guys to hang out! Will the Tito Santana be there? So cool...

As for marginal utility, anon ron hater (is he related to Ronnie Runsalotte?) was right. That blog is shyte. Not because of the Coldplay bashing, but because of the a-fucking-trocious writing. I love how he talks about "ego music" and people whining. Jeebus man, that whole blog is a whining mess and he clearly writes in such a pretentious way as to inflate his ego. "Dealing with Contemporary Consumerism" - I know one way to deal with it. It's a game called Poo Dollar. You wipe your ass with a dollar bill and place the poo side down on the sidewalk. Then you hide somewhere and wait for a victim to pick it up and then yell "Poo Dollar!" They drop it in disgust and you have taught them that money (and consumerism) is shit. Just like that blog.

I got a little excited and didn't realized that the beloved JYD is dead. He died in 98 in an auto accident at the age of 45.

Don't forget the fact that his real name was Sylvester Ritter.
